Meath Ventilation Services

Clean Air Across County Meath

Meath is growing fast — new estates are appearing every year from Ashbourne to Navan. HVS designs and installs MHRV and DCV ventilation systems that keep those homes dry, warm, and healthy.

Ventilation at the Pace of Meath's Growth

Meath is consistently in the top five fastest-growing counties in Ireland. We have the capacity and local knowledge to keep up — from single home installs to multi-unit developer schemes across the county.

High-Volume New Estates

Towns like Ashbourne, Ratoath, and Dunboyne are growing rapidly with large new housing schemes. We work with developers and individual buyers to specify and install compliant MHRV systems across phased developments.

Market Town Renovations

Older properties in Navan, Trim, and Kells often have damp issues caused by inadequate or absent mechanical ventilation. A DCV system is a cost-effective, minimally invasive upgrade that works immediately.

Rural Self-Builds

Meath has a strong tradition of one-off rural self-builds. We design bespoke MHRV systems from your architect's drawings, integrated into your build from first-fix through to commissioning and handover.

Meath Areas We Serve

Ashbourne, Ratoath, Dunboyne, Dunshaughlin, Navan, Kells, Trim, Oldcastle, Laytown, Bettystown, Julianstown, Enfield, Athboy, Summerhill, and surrounding towns and villages throughout the county.

Why HVS in Meath

Local Knowledge, Proper Systems

We know Meath's housing stock — from the 1990s estates in Navan to the A2-rated new builds in Dunboyne.

Part F Compliance

All installations include the design calculations, commissioning records, and airflow test data required by Meath County Council building control for new builds and significant renovations.

Developer Packages

For multi-unit schemes in Meath, we offer phased installation packages to suit construction programmes — keeping your build on schedule without sacrificing quality.

Coastal Humidity Protection

Properties along the Meath coast at Laytown and Bettystown benefit from enhanced moisture management. We size extract rates to handle the higher ambient humidity in these locations.

Healthy Homes for Families

Meath has a young demographic and many family homes. Proper MHRV filtration removes pollen, dust, and traffic particles — particularly important for children with asthma or allergies.

Heat Recovery for Colder Months

Inland Meath gets cold in winter. Our MHRV systems recover up to 93% of the heat from extracted air — reducing your heating bill meaningfully across the full winter season.

Same-Team Aftercare

We do not hand off service calls to a third party. If you have a question or need a filter change in Navan or Ashbourne, the same team that installed your system will come back.

FAQs

Meath FAQs

Common questions from Meath homeowners and developers.

We are buying a new build in Ashbourne / Ratoath — will it have proper ventilation?

It should, by law — but the quality and type of system installed by developers varies significantly. We recommend asking to see the commissioning report and airflow test results before signing off. If the system installed is individual wall fans rather than a centralised MHRV or DCV unit, it is worth getting it reviewed before moving in.

Our Navan house has mould in the bathrooms — is that a ventilation problem?

Almost certainly, yes. Persistent black mould in bathrooms is a classic sign of inadequate mechanical extract ventilation. A centralised DCV or MEV system — typically installed in the attic with slim ducting down to each wet room — resolves this quickly and quietly.

We are building a house outside Trim — do you cover rural Meath?

Yes. We cover all of County Meath, including rural areas. For self-builds, we ask that you send us your floor plans and airtightness target so we can produce an accurate design before we quote. We work from drawings and visit the site for first-fix and final commissioning.

Can you install MHRV in an older semi-detached in Navan?

Yes, though the suitability of MHRV versus DCV depends on the property's airtightness. For older, less airtight homes, DCV is typically the better choice — it does not require supply air ducting to living rooms, which significantly reduces installation complexity and cost. We will advise the right option after a survey.
