Modern MVHR systems are built for Irish weather year-round. In winter, the heat exchanger captures thermal energy from outgoing air and uses it to pre-warm incoming fresh air — slashing heating bills. When outdoor temperatures are cool at night, the heat exchanger is bypassed entirely. Fresh night air flows directly into the home — cooling it down passively without any air conditioning.
